Is it modesty or honesty that's the best policy? I can't remember. Anyhow, my NCEA results are in. It's not like I got straight A's (like someone in my family) so I figure I can post it here.

Now I suspect no one really cares what my results are (and even if they do, probly can't tell if they're good or not. Which is fair enough, neither can I) so I've added something of interest. On the right you can see a shot of a little normal mapping test I wrote a couple of days back, using art from limefly.net. Click for a pointlessly big version.

Hey, nice normal mapping you've got there - especially since it uses my art. :D Seriously speaking, is that a self-contained app? I could have a use for that... that being an application in which I could see is the normal map inverted or not.

Ah, the man himself! Yes, it's self contained, and you can have it if you like. There are some problems with testing if your normal maps are inverted with it though. One is that, as far as I know, there are several standards for normal maps. Another is that I just randomly negated things till it looked right anyway, ignoring all of them. But I'm sure we could work it out. Maybe I should start a thread in your forums.

Your site's great by the way, it's become the standard place I go for textures.
