General NewsIn the past, various careers related people have talked about the importance of networks, and how knowing the right people is crucial. I never thought much of it. Being totally introverted, I pretty much discarded the possibility. Turns out they were right. Neil (Canuck) was right too, for that matter, and I owe him thanks. So um... Thanks Neil.

You were expecting the news bit about here, weren't you? You know, the bit where I tell you what the heck I'm talking about. Too bad, it's more fun this way ;).

Why you ostentatious pretentious supercilious person. The only reason to post
something like that is because you want other people to want to know what you
are talking about :P. (tongue in cheek)

On a more serious note, my server is down due to power failure in Los Angeles
and consequently I can't get email.

Hehe. It worked didn't it? Ah well, the amazing news (which was never amazing and is no longer new) is that I have what might be called a job. Doing the code of a prototype game for the guy who was team leader of vg. It's nothing big, which is good, cause if it was I would have run away screaming like a little girl. But I'm proud that my very first job is in game development. I should get me one of those "I make games" T-Shirts I saw somewhere.

I see your site is back up, so we can but hope the remaining old people in los angeles are feeling better.

If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have got involved in vg.

That's no way to talk! You should be heading to the top yourself. Here's something you might find interesting: I asked Ian why he asked me, not one of the other guys, and one of the reasons he gave is that I'm a gamer. Apparently the others weren't that into games.
